Artist Edward Eberhardt brings his signature wire-wrapping artistry to the patio for this beautiful hands-on workshop. You’ll learn foundational wire techniques as Ed guides you through creating a delicate butterfly from wire and your choice of colorful beads. The finished piece measures approximately 5″ x 4″ — a wearable or display-worthy work of art you’ll be proud of.

Join Edward Eberhardt as he teaches the technique of wire wrapping. It’s quite amazing to see a few pieces of wire and beads be transformed  into a unique work of art.  He will teach us how to join and bend the wires. Finishing the piece really adds that touch of individuality as you learn to bend, curl and form the wire into both functional and decorative parts of your butterfly.

Ed’s fascination with art started with handmade jewelry and art glass from different parts of the world.  He took a master gemstone cutting course after college and began creating unique handmade pieces of jewelry.  He also works with Precious Metal Clay. Guided by the spirit and creating from the heart results in the truly beautiful works he shares with the world.

A bit of history…
Wire wrapping of decorative elements can be traced back thousands of years to the ancient civilizations of the Egyptians and Celts, mainly used to create intricate symbolic jewelry. The technique has evolved through cultures and time is still popular today in the creation of artistic jewelry and decorative items.

No experience needed, this class is suitable for beginners. Classes are intended for adults to unwind and relax while creating.

Tools will be provided. Participants must be age 18+. Registration is required, maximum of 5 participants.
