Get in touch with your creative side! Workshops and classes on a whim are held on the garden patio in good weather or inside in the creative nook behind the shop when it's too cold, wet or windy to enjoy the fresh air. Workshops will be posted online and require advanced registration. Classes on a Whim will be announced when they pop up and you can stop in any point during the day to participate.

Hammer, Shape & Take Home Something Beautiful
Join us for a drop-in metalworking workshop where you’ll learn real smithing techniques and walk away with a finished piece you made yourself. No experience necessary — just curiosity and a willingness to get your hands a little dirty.
Choose Your Project — or Do Both!
Copper Stacker Rings (Plain + Textured) — $20
Learn to size, shape, texture, and finish two wearable copper stacker rings you’ll be proud to stack.
Forged & Twisted Copper Cuff — $20
Hammer, forge, and twist copper into a one-of-a-kind cuff with character.
In both projects, you’ll work with real metalsmithing techniques: texturing, annealing, patina finishing, and shaping. All materials and tools are included.
Safety Notes
- Closed-toe shoes are required
- Long hair should be tied back
Skill Level: Beginner - perfect for adults and teens - no experience required
Registration: None required for Classes on a Whim
The workshop is held outdoors, weather permitting — a relaxed, collaborative space where you can take your time, share tools with fellow crafters, and enjoy the fresh air. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll move inside to our studio space. Each project should be able to be completed in one hour.
